At Joan's Gardens Challenge #6

I was inspired for an "outdoorsy-birthday card" by Paula Huiras inked embossing folder card.  This is the "debossed" side of a Cuttlebug EF, inked with both Ranger Distressing Inks, and Ranger Distress Markers (Forest Moss, Broken China, and Walnut)   Some of the inks are burnished over the surface, and some sit distressed in the grass blades. Inks are available at Joan's Gardens. The sentiment stamp is from SU Elementary Elegance set  stamped over a piece of embossed and then flattened matching paper (one of my swirl flourish folders to suggest the blades of grass.)  The die I used available at Joan's Gardens was Wonky Rectangles (S4-506) by Spellbinders.  I tore (then burnished the torn edges) using a Tim Holtz edge distresser.   The inside of the card has Happy BD tag, and area for personal note.  This card will be for my  son-in-law's upcoming BD. The bird's eye is a little black pearl much smaller than it looks in this photo (it cast a shadow behind it, but it's really teeny.

  1. Cute card, Priss. Someday I hope to be able to do all the neat techniques I see on your cards.
