The Magical Mail Keep

This box on a pedestal is a Mail-Keep with one white envelope in it.  So often I'll finish my projects and then lose them on the desk before I get them into envelopes to mail.  Now the Mail Keep will keep them safe and ready to go.  The overall finished project is about 7 1/2" tall by 4 1/2" wide including the pedestal.
The front of this pedestal box is created with the cardfront of an absolutely spectacular alcohol inked background with the Hero Arts DI585 Fairy Window Fancy Die
Paper is SU Bermuda Bay and Basic Black, embossed with 3d Leaves EF by SU.  These are matted over silver cardstock on the sides and back of the card.  Tiny butterflies are punch outs from a Martha Stewart Edge punch.  Findings on the front include various types of sequins and jewels silk flowers and vellum cuts (actually from a snowflake for the filigree I wanted)- all from my stash).  The little feet on the box are by Darice Craftwood (JoAnns)The other fairies on the box are from Poppy Stamps and include Dancing Fairies Posing Fairy, River Fairy and Thoughtful Fairy.  The way to achieve such a beautiful Alcohol Inked background paper can be found on my friend Sandi MacIver's UTube Channel.   Check out her Simple Alcohol Techniques #1 video to see this EXACT cardfront that I used on this project.   Thank you Sandi, I will treasure this thoughtful card you sent me, and enjoy creating stunning backgrounds like yours for future projects.

Hallowe'en

Black cardstock frames a shaker window created with Spellbinders Pierced Rectangles (SCD-012) The Shaker items are "jumbo Glitter"  from Jo- Ann (Maker's Halloween Construction item) The witch and cats are Sizzix 662368  Witchcraft dies.  The Sentiment reads.
" A woman drew her long black hair out tight,
And fiddled whisper music on those strings.
And bats with baby faces in the violet light,
Whistled, and beat their wings.
And crawled head downward down a blackened wall." ~ T.S.Eliott~

This silhouette of the Sizzix witch and cat is mounted on an alcohol ink background (Yupo paper) edged in gold sticker lines from Pop Ups Etc, mounted then on black and placed on a cream cardbase. The gold metallic in the alcohol ink background is very bright and glistening.

Christmas Florals

This card is matted on super shiny Christmas Green foil cardstock.  It is the Christmas Florals stamp embossed on Caslon watercolor paper in black and watercolored with Artesa (and other) watercolor pencils, and Nova, Wink of Stella and stickles accents.  The Letters are cut again from the green foil and adhered on top of (and slightly offset) of the black embossed letters on the stamp.  This card doesn't photography very well, but it is a spectacular stampset and dieset to use this Holiday Season.  Thank you Concord & 9th for them.

SURVIVOR CONGRATULATIONS

This twist and pop card is for our Nephew who yesterday got the word that after almost a year battle with Cancer, he is declared in remission and  Cancer Free---the best news an Aunt and Uncle could ever hear.    Almost every night, through feeling well or awful, through being happy or at his saddest, he posted a picture of the sunset to his FB feed.

When your world moves too fast, and you lose yourself in the chaos,
introduce yourself to each color in the sunset.
I I used Karen Schulz Sunset Harvest digital scrapbooking kit for this twist and pop card.

Ornaments

This was the July 2018 Ornament Girls Club ornament.  I'm beginning to get caught up with my ornaments, and haven't posted an ornament for about 10 months. Thank you Stacey Ann for this cute one and different folds. Enjoyed making it.

This beautiful "petal" ornament worked in luxurious black white and silver fabrics was the Sept 2018 Ornament Girls Club Ornament.  This turned out SO pretty. I'm finishing quite a few of these for our upcoming Craft Fair.

Wishing you a VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY JR

I've used the gorgeous Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous Pressed Foliage (CMs396) stamps which are inked with kaleidacolor (autumn leaves ink) and clear heat embossed.  The large openwork leaf is diecut from copper foil Concord&9th Thankful leaves dies.  The outline die is mounted to gold vellum paper. The card is touched with copper Nuvo Drops with a Birthday sentiment from Just  Rite Stamps Grand Sentiments stampset copper heat embossed on chocolate chip paper (also used for the matting.  The font on the inside greeting is the fun "Crackin" fontset.

Note to self---it sure helps if you put the zip code on a card you send. This card came back to ME on HIS birthday because I didn't!

OUCH

Each of these cards is made with the Band-Aids dieset from My Favorite things.  The letters are stacked up on red foam, cut from SU Real Red paper and brushed with red wink of Stella. That dieset is Alphabet by EK Success. The Feel Better soon sentiment is from Essential Sentiments stampset by My Favorite Things.  My favorite go to embossing folder for texture is Carabella "Guirlandes"  I'm making these for our resident Craft fair coming up in October.

Cardinal Sprite

The little Cardinal Sprite, drawn by Mitzi Sato-Wiuff (Aurora Wings) is colored with prismacolor pencils and stands behind a shaker fall of Mylar snowflakes and holly berries and leaves. The sentiment is a Penny Black Stamp from Season's Gift stampset inked in Gina K Amalgum black ink.  The black frame is cut from a Spellbinders Rectangle Die (SCD-012).  Behind the acetate shaker window is a mat cut from the gorgeous Graphic 45 Joy To the World (2019) 8x8 paper pad.
