Thoughtful Branches

Yesterday I had the best time at a Stampin Up Workshop hosted by Demonstrator Megumi Holland
She had the prettiest projects planned and such nice area ladies came.  I met stampers from Port Townsend and Sequim as we created these cards.  Some of them are not really finished because I have some sentiments to add or other embellishments to do, but it was quite the challenge to be card crafting with adhesive, a glue pen, a knife for a bone folder, and a pair of tweezers for my "supplies!"  But of course I came away with a TON of ideas for the new "Thoughtful  Branches stamps and dies...and had a card-fix in the process!

Mir An_ Classy Cheryl

This card is made for the Miran  August Progressive Challenge.  The adorable Classy Cheryl is drawn by Miran.  She is colored with Prismacolor Pencils and placed inside a Box  Fold Fancy Fold card created with Graphic 45 Botanical Tea double sided designer paper. On the front of the card are three diecut Scribble  Roses Overlays (MFT 744) by Die Namics.  The Sentiment is embossed in white and is from the SU Petite Pairs.  Outside says "Sending a Kiss" and the inside says "To Make it Better."  It was created for my daughter who recently had surgery.  The opaque pearl accents are by Recollections (Michaels) and there is a wink of stella accent here and there.

Night of Navy Hugs

This card was inspired by Jari of Cardiology by Jari.com.  I used Avery Elle sentiments die, SU petite petals stamp and punch SU Flower  Shop stamp and punch some other punches for the leaces and other flowers.  Rhinestones and Hello Honey bow and ribbon accents finishe the card. Striking card, and striking idea, Jari thank you.

Scribble Roses Overlays

This card was just SO much fun to make!  I started with tip top taupe, close to cocoa and whisper white paper by SU, and several die cuts from Die-Namics Scribble Roses Overlay (MFT 744).  The overlays were filled with the cutout pieces from the dies and attached to scalloped circles found in one of the Sizzix flip it die set # 659171. These are mounted on a panel of DP from SU that has a random circle pattern on the reverse.  I  chose to mount it so the front showed the woodgrain and the inside of the card has a die cut  that shows the reverse of the paper and contains one of the smaller overlays I finished. The word celebrate is formed by the negative space after I cut out Avery Elle's Celebrate (Sentimental Dies) D-16-01.  I saved all the microscopic letter fill and tacked them onto the sticky side of a post it note waiting for the assembly of the card.  I used a microbrush to put down glue to hold them in place. The gold and white border is a sticker touched with Tim Holtz White enamel accents. A piece of gold cording and a pearl finish this dramatic card.

Watercolor Lift

This autumn card was created with the  Watercolor Lift technique inspired by Wendy Cranford at Splitcoast Stampers.  The stamp is a very old clearstamp that I have, embossed with clear embossing powder.  The colors for the watercolor wash are directly stamped from Kaleidacolor Autumn Leaves stamppad onto Bienfang watercolor paper (smoother side).  The accent paper is Old Olive by SU and the Autumn Frame for the Birthday sticker sentiment is a  Spellbinders Decorative Curved  Square (S4-525).  The Copper foil Starform sticker is from Pop Ups  Etc mounted on a "wonky rectangles" cut of the watercolor paper that hasn't been lifted. The card base is lightly burnished with Delicata ink.
