Ornament Girls Club January #27

This is the Ornament Girls Club Ornament for January 2018 club members.  It was challenging to do the "bias" heart, but the results were so pretty.  This one---you gotta take it slow (or you'll go crazy!)  involves interesting folds and placement on the styrofoam heart.  When it's finished --it hangs on an angle!  Beautiful design Staci Ann.  I loved the hearts and roses accents and the soft beautiful colors of fabrics that are in this kit.

Wise Owl

Sometimes we need a tad of encouragement!--So I made this special card with Wise Owl and Wise Owl dieset from  Gina K Designs.

The sentiment reads:
 Never regret a day in your life;
Good days give happiness;
Bad days give experience;
Worst days give lessons
And best days give memories.

Inside sentiment is stamp from set:  Owl Always be there for you.

You're not alone--The owl peeks through the card front in triple cut die window.

Valentines

These valentines feature beautifiul Gina K. Radiant Red Fancy Foils red used various ways.  In the top one, it's adhered behind a heart filled die cut (from a friend), over SU dp from "Sending Love" paper pack.  The sentiment is stamped in glittery red EP on vellum, and is a Lawn Fawn Celebration Sentiment stamp, edged with rhinestones.  The bottom one is same sentiment stamped and embossed in SU "Cherry  Cobbler" EP. The foil on the bottom card is adhered to Starform Hearts Outline (silver) stickers from Pop Ups Etc.  The tiny hearts are diecut from SSS Heart Sprinkle Trail, after adhering the foil to white paper (with wide Scortape). The side ribbon on the bottom card was created by laying a line of score tape down, pressing the foil into it and removing the foil leaving the stripe.

The clean and simple card below is not foiled, but using Real Red Paper and ink. The Celebration Scripty Sayings greeting, hearts from the Sealed With Love SU die and stampset and with the PoppyStamps pretty Gentle Hearts Die. No glitz on this one mounted on a gray card base.

The Two below are Penny Black's Line of Hearts diecuts and  inlays.  The top one is grunged with distress ink and distress oxide ink, and spritzed.  The White Embossed sentiment (mistake--picked up the wrong bottle of EP) is outlined in red ink, then blended into the background with alcohol on a fine tipped Qtip. The inlay is secured with scortape and white iridescent glitter is rubbed into the scortape.  It is really a beautiful card, but the picture of it is horrible!  Pretty Pink Posh sequins and red stickles are used.

This Line of Hearts is backed with shimmery red ribbon.  The cardstock is shimmer spritzed Cherry Cobbler (SU) and the White embossed Sentiment is from SU Sealed with Love stampset.  White inlay is from card above. and red inlay above is from this card below.

Amazing You

This card was creasted with the Hello You die and the Amazing You stamp set from Stampin Up. The little yellow flower and leaves are from Gina K Designs..one of the U Tube kits from a year or more ago "Flowers and Frames". The technique is Prismacolor pencils on dark paper with white undercoat and the stamp stamped in versamark for no line access to the design.    I used jewels, stickles and Nuvo drops for accents.

Same techneque and stamps, different colors (Watermelon Wonder), and an embossed Window Card.  Happy Birthday Sentiment from Gina K designs. Silver lines are stickers, and the emobssing folder is Elegand Lines by SU  The card base is a natural paper, that is offset cut so the card has a top fold of 3 3/4inches and the base is 4 3/4x 5 1/2.

Tri Fold-Edged Valentine

This special Valentine is created with the edge die from SU Swirling Snowflakes dieset. The card is a tri-fold that measured 11" x 4 and was S&F at 4 (t) and 2 (b) then die cut with the Edge die.  This card was inspired by Jennifer McGuire's Gate Fold Border Die tutorial. The inside paper is Real Red (SU) and the stamped sentiment on the front is from Celebrate Scripty Sayings by Lawn Fawn.  The arrow and the inside sentiment ( white embossed ) are by SU from the Sealed with Love stamp and die set.  I made a stencil to work with for the placement of the white hearts inside and adhered them with 3D crystal glaze from the white Simon Says Stamp by Memory Box---" Heart Sprinkle Trail" die.  I added red Wink of Stella to the arrow (which does not show in the photograph).

Detailed Florals Inlay

This A2 card was created with SU Detailed Florals Dies. It is worked in white,  tempting turquoise and  island indigo blue papers. The dies are cut through the white and turquoise, and adhered, then tiny cutouts created with the turquoise paper are inlaid into the die cuts and glued in place. Simon Says Stamp Frosty Fractals sequins and other embellishments are addedto complete the project/  The sentiment is the  bottom of the diecut Curved Happy Birthday by Memory Box.--The "happy" is hand penned with Sakura matching glaze pen.  I am anxious to do this card in other colors and papers.  Save those tiny cutouts carefully.and grrouping them in quadrants of the diecut as you remove it from the die saves time when you begin to inlay. (Unless, of course, you love thousand piece puzzles!)

This is Detailed Florals ANOTHER WAY
In this card I used the smaller of the floral edges with the cut out.  I masked that  and then              used Distress Oxide inks spritzed with both water and Shimmer mist (detail does not show in the photo! ):.  The lavendar background is partially embossed with "weathered" by Taylored Expressions.  Silver elastic thread and strip pearls edge the diecut and the "thinking of you sentiment" is Scripty Sayings by Lawn Fawn.stamped with Hero Arts ink.

Hero Arts January Kit

There are some gorgeous ideas and beautiful elements in the new Hero Arts January Kit of the Month.  This is the first card using triple emossed Love stamp, the Heart die, the included pink glitter inlaid behind the diecut filigree heart.  Pink and silver Stickles and pearl drops, together with line stickers from Pop Up Etc almost finish this card,  a tiny serntiment in silver will be put on a strip to inlay in the 1/4 inch space at the bottom of the card.  There's just no way to capture the glitter    in this card.  It is so delicate and ornate.

The card below uses the Spellbinders #17 labels.

This one below is the same love stamp overstamped with White Pigment ink, and mounted on musical note paper designed by Karen Schulz. The heart is a SU Embosslit

Bees and Things

This bright and sunny Ornament was the June 2017 Ornament Girls Club ornament designed by Stacy Lowry and her team. It is an egg shaped base, and so much fun to create.

4x4 books

Treasures for friends.  I made a couple of 4x4 chipboard books that stand up and have various pages for reflecting, or just enjoying.  These have acrylic covers over the photoprinted pages and are bound with one inch rings with my bind-it-all.  Charms and ribbons are from my stash..  MOST of the pictures, elements, papers, and embellishments are by Snickerdoodle Designs by Karen's beautiful (but discontinued) "Misty Autumn" digital scrapbooking kit.

Happy Birthday Die Background

Love this die.  It gives you hundreds of little pieces to inlay, or to use as a full cut background overlay. It is by Poppy Stamps and is called Happy Birthday Background (#990)  For this card I used Watermelon Wonder paper by SU, and shimmer white cardstock for the card base.  The rose is a sticker  I got from PopUps Etc, and it is stuck to watercolor paper and worked with watercolors.  Tonic dots and gold stickles and a ribbon complete this one.  Cut this several times out of different colors or textures of papers.  Put them in individual envelopes and then use the letters or the diecut for inlays.

Daffodil Sprite Address Book Cover

The adorable Whimsical Daffodil Sprite is on the cover of a new address book I just finished.  She's from Mitzi's sprite collection HERE  She's colored in copics, prismacolor pencils, glitter pens, and watercolor paints and is adhered to the cover acetate for this bound address book. I never make address books in the 1/2 sheet size, but the printer got started and this was where I ended up!  LOL.  This cover was created for the Aurora Wings January Challenge #62 "Anything but a card"

 Yellow photographs very poorly, but this little sprite is bright and glittezy and ready to welcome spring.

Butterfly Sprite May Calendar Page

The little Butterfly Sprite is off from her garden hiding place on this page in my 2018 Calendar I made for friends. The graphic of the lantern is by Snickerdoodle Designs by Karen, and the Butterfly Sprite is from Aurora  Wings Shop.  She is worked in purple prismacolor pencil, glitter pen, and posca white pen on a page designed in Photoshop for the month of May, 2018.  She's in the January Challenge #62 on the Aurora Wings Challenge Blog
