Love in Spring_ Ching-Chou Kuik

This beautiful graphic Love in Spring  is done in Prismacolor Pencils with the fairy's translucent wings finished in Wink of Stella.  I did her for a Kit and Clowder challenge and chose the autumn coloring (September) as the month I wanted to finish.  I cannot finish this into a card until after August 10th, but I will, in time for a September birthday, die cut and matte it on gold and turquoise.

Detail

And then I did this graphic again--this time we'll call it "Love in Winter."-

Very hard to get web photo to show the background gradient blue to light yellow.

Here is another Ching_Chow Kuik that I absolutely LOVE---She's called Spring Dreaming.

And here are the finished cards
No matter the mood, Ching Chow Kuik designs are stunning and special.

Wheatley_Art by Miran

Love how this beautiful little Wheatley turned out.  Her cape was a challenge to get it to shimmer and to be heavily textured--and almost the same tones as her dress.  This is unfinished because I don't have all my crafting supplies with me on vacation, but she will be mounted on Cherry Cobbler and double matted for an autumn card, with wheat embellishments.

Pretty Pencils

Here are a couple of Sherri Baldi's that I have just finished coloring with the Prismacolor Pencils.  One is called Moon Kissed, and I can't find the name of the other one.

Moon Kissed was printed on canvas, heavily textured paper---not good for pencils!

Yam Puff_ Kit and Clowder Create and Learn July

I love how my first attempt came out working with all the new and challenging techniques in the July Kit and Clowder Create and Learn for Pencils Class.

Here's my first effort, photographed and placed on a photo of a huge group of Hydrangea in bloom at the Elk Casino near where we are staying.  I can't wait to do the Hydrangea Fairy by Yam Puff  again and get better at the ripples and waves and a penciled sky!

Here is the finished card, "Don't be afraid to get your feet wet"

Norma Burnell_Follow Me

Among the most fun to color images I have bought this "follow me" by Norma Burnell is one of my favorites.  I am going to frame this one and have it in mind for a Christmas Gift for a special person. Norma's  work has the flavor of Zentangles to it, but the gorgeous detail is takes your breath away.. I am especially fond of her fairies and her owl graphics.  I have colored Follow Me twice.  The top one is the one I colored second, but both are with Prismacolor pencils, with some areas finished with Gamsol to blend.  Some areas are accented with Wink of Stella, silver and gold Gelly Roll pens, pearls, and and tiny stickers which are the gold centers of some of my holographic sentiment word greetings.
