Papers N Pixels December Club Project--2022

This year the members of the Sun City Papers N Pixels made bookmarks for adults and children alike. They were so VARIED, so pretty, so CUTE, so different, and showed SO MUCH talent in our  wonderful little  paper crafting club.

This is Chairman Sue with a few of the over 160 bookmarks made by the Club

These are a few of the contributors this year---Many are away for the holidays and
didn't make the December meeting.  Chairman Sue is lower left, and PnP club President, Clareene, is lower right in this picture. The bookmarks will be mailed tomorrow to the
Project Coordinators of this Nation Wide effort. "Cardz 4 Kidz"

Mele Kalikimaka

Mele Kalikimaka is the way to say Merry  Christmas--the old Hawaiian Way.  This is the digital card I sent to my ukulele students, and jammin' friends.

The sentiment says "Life without Music would B flat" Elements are gathered using free photos and graphics on the internet just for this card.

Graphic 45 Warm Wishes

These are the first two of several Holiday Cards I am making using the Graphic 45 Card Kit #11.  Wonderful fun, excellent video tutorials on how to create--and unique, different and oh so pretty.

This one is a shadow box with Peace and Plenty and  Comfort and Joy papers and elements.
The shadow box card below uses Warm Wishes and Holiday Hello Papers
No ephemera is used--all elements are fussy-cut from the papers and finished with Nuvo clear, red and green, gloss.

Christmas Gift Cards for Grandson and his Wife

This is Ross' money gift holder for Christmas.  I didn't realize that you cannot post any picture that shows photographed money--- This has a pull-out for a bill so you can see how it works

I will be using this design as one of several "gift card/money" holders at the January Papers N Pixels meeting in Sun City

This is Bri's gift card/money holding Christmas Card. This one is created with papers from Warm Wishes Graphic 45 papers this season.  The card is a diagonal split, with a pocket formed in in the inside where you can tuck bill or gift card.

Big Boy Card

This is a z-fold card for a Big Boy train enthusiast's Christmas.  There is a matching gift card envelope and a place for private sentiment on the back of this card.

The sentiment reads:
Our life is a constant journey, from birth to death.
The landscape changes, the people change, our needs change,
But the train keeps on moving!
It moves on the tracks silently with every journey you take,
with every destination, with every decision you make.
Enjoy every momentof this wonderful ride.

A Start on Christmas Cards and festive stuff

Have lots of Laurie Furnell Gnomes---these are the  Winter Gnome set, finished with clear 3d gel, white posca pen snowflakes some  Aleen's Glitter Snow, and printed A2 in  Photoshop.
Below, still with Laurie Furnell Designs are some little Snowmen in parade--a parade of treat boxes.

NAK Birthday Card

This card was so much fun to make.  It is a Book within a Card, and created for a 75 year old gentleman that features some of his most favorite things in life.  The  Diamond Paper which is the predominant graphic in this card was created in a kit "Diamond Clusters" created by Digital Curio from Etsy. The Monogram was created in Photoshop, as were all the graphics and inner pages of this "Card with a Book Inside"  It is a 5x7 card.

The top left photo is the envelope for this Card.  Top Right is the vellum belly band-with monogram that slides over the front of the card and exactly matches the triple stacked monogram in the center over a digital vellum picture of  some of the recipients favorite things. The top page of the birthday book  is a cover with Happy Birthday (font throughout is Trajan Pro).  Page two is his birthday year 75, Page three is "UR one in a Million", and Page four is the sentiment and greeting from the senders. The back cover is created with  Cuban Cigar wrappers illustration.

Wedding Card

 Congratulations Ross and Barbara Doyel

Few cards have given me more pleasure than creating this wedding card for our friends  Rev. Ross and Barbara Parks Doyel, --our pastor and his bride who were married this month.  It is created with metallic watercolor on gold embossed stamp outlines, and decorated with diecuts, and pearls and embellishments. It is very delicate and shimmery, which doesn't show on the web post.

The inside sentiment was a copy of the

  Apache Wedding Blessing.

"Now you will feel no rain, for each of you will be shelter for the other.

Now you will feel no cold, for each of you will be warmth to the other.

Now there will be no loneliness, for each of you will be companion to the other.

Now you are two persons, but there is only one life before you.

May beauty surround you both in the journey ahead and through all the years

. May happiness be your companion

and your days together be good and long upon the earth."

Here are some of the members of the Sun City Papers n' Pixels Club at the last summer SIG of 2022.  The summer workshops are "Special Interest Groups"    Every folio turned out SO wonderfully, and we had a GREAT time, working through some of the tricky cuts and sizes to make folios WITH or  WITHOUT pen holders.
