This is a line drawing from Phee McFadden's coloring page, (Hummer with Elf Friends) colored (first time out) with Tim Holtz Distress Markers! LONG way to go with these, but actually pretty happy with my first efforts with this new (to me) medium. I've added "summer" Flower Soft and Ranger's Stickles Diamond accents. The cardstock is embossed with Sizzix Textured Impressions 656799 Flower and Vine Twizzle Set, and burnished lightly with Ranger Black Soot Distressing ink. The die I used for the centerpiece is from the Spellbinder's Labels 17 (S5-025) These materials are all available at Joan's Gardens. The gold vertical lettering for Happy Birthday is from pop-ups etc.

At Joan's Gardens Challenge #6
The challenge this week is to create a birthday card---with an outdoor scene/theme.

OOOOOOOHHHH. That gold lettering is scrumptious! What a well-thought-out card, Priss. You always come up with the best ideas. :o)
ReplyDeleteGreat design for this challenge. Love the lettering too.

I love the gold lettering. Very beautiful card. Went through Mesquite, NV a few times and think it is in higher country with snow. Of course, it is snowing today and card making weather. Love your cards.
ReplyDeleteNope, no snow at all Nancy---we're at about 1500 feet, floor of the "high" desert really. It's just beautiful here today, high 60s, but we'll not be able to say that for very many more weeks.
ReplyDeletePriss, wonderful job on all your cards, god bless that you can do so many each week, wish I could accomplish that!! Enjoyed all your cards, thanks for sharing, will only leave this one comment for them all, my energy is very limited these days.
