The tutorial for the Inside Out Card was designed Mixed Up Crafts card that Sam Calcott had shared on her site. And is MODIFIED from the 6x6design she shared.
Cut 2 pieces of solid cardstock 5" x 5
1/2". Along the 5 1/2" side,
score both at 1/2". Burnish.
Cut 1 piece 4
3/4" x 4 3/4" for back piece. (A sentiment may be placed there, or a note)
Cut 1 piece 4
3/4" x 4 3/4" for front
piece...that says "Please Turn me inside out"
Cut 1 piece 4
3/4" x 4 3/4" for 'Happy
Birthday' sentiment.
Cut 1 piece 4
3/4" x 4 3/4" for inside
back piece.
The
placement of the embellishments, and mats and the mechanism for the
Inside Out flop over flap can be tricky. Tip: gently and lightly TACK
your 4 3/4" pieces lightly with removable tape, and be careful to adhere
the acrylic supported graphics to the correct side of the 1/2 inch side
of the paper. (use thick acrylic packaging cut in strips ...not window
acrylic weight.
The
bottles, mugs and pretzels are each individually suspended and
separated --on acrylic "sticks" coming out of the flip-over fold
mechanism. Mats and mat graphics were given to me by my friend Clareene
(who created them in Photoshop. The mugs and bottle are finished with
Nuvo Glimmer and nuvo clear drops as well as "SnowWriter" foam.
This card was made especially for my nephew Stuart whose birthday is November 1.
Happy Birthday Stuart
The second Inside Out Card was designed with elements from Booland Designs "Autumn Gold" kit. The font I used in this card is Exile Standard, it is mounted on craft colored cardstock.
Autumn leaves don't fall,
Back of card (easel Back) sentiment reads:
Count your blessings instead of crosses,
Count your gains instead of your losses
Count your joys instead of your woes
Count your friends instead of your foes
Count your courage instead of your fears
Count your full years instead of your lean
Count your kind deeds instead of your mean
Count your health instead of your wealth
and
Count on God instead of yourself.
Great job! The smaller size is easier for making an envelope and mailing too...
