Daffodil Sprite

This is the Aurora Wings Daffodil Sprite  Birthday Easel Card
Daffodils are the flower for March birthdays. The legend comes from Mythology in ancient Greece  where a man by the name of Narcissus looked at himself constantly and was obsessed with himself.  When he was looking at his reflection in a pool of water, he fell in and drowned.  The story is that from the grave a flower grew and it was called a Narcissus--but today known as the Daffodil.  This flower stands for beauty and love, and is a flower of hope and springtime.
The Sprite is colored with Prismacolor Pencils, touched with glitter pens, Wink of Stella and White Posca pen.  The background stamp is Kaisercraft Clear Stamp --script, stamped in tip top taupe on crumb cake paper, mounted on so saffron matting over chocolate chip (all papers from SU)  The sentiment stamp is punched and edged with walnut stain distress ink and is from a flower set from one of Gina K's stamp tv kits.

  2. Oh how gorgeous, Priss! Love the special detail you've added to Daffodil Sprite and how she plays so well against the stamped kraft mat. The pearls look lovely, too. xxD
