Ice Princess_Make it Crafty
This Ice Princess graphic came from Make it Crafty. A Copics Create and Learn lesson for this image was offered at Kit and Clowder, August 2015. But I don't work in copics, so got the image to finish in Prismacolor Pencils and gamsol. The ice landing she is on is sketched in grey and white and covered with Deco Art's Glistening Snow Writer, which creates dimensional effects, and "lumpy" snow for the base. The top of the Ice Princess is diecut with an oval scallop die, edged in silver stickles and washed with clear Wink of Stella (which doesn't show at all in the picture).and is mounted on silver holographic star paper (Recollections). The last touch will be to tie a glistening ice thread double-bow on the side.
Thinking of you
I cannot remember who the graphic artist is that drew this girl sitting on a wall. If you know, please leave a comment below. I have practiced a few of Alyce Keegan's background techniques, found in her Background Techniques Handbook. including alcohol fade on copic (the top of the wall) watercolor wash using both watercolor paint and distress ink over it for the dark black sky. The image is colored in Prismacolor pencils, which gave me a tiny bit of resist for the background wash. The sky is touched with stickles "stars" and gold points of light (sticker negatives) from the Thinking of you Sticker, and points of white ink using a Pentel white pen which I cannot stand. (The ink just absorbs into the paper and doesn't leave a crisp white dot) The edge of the design uses gold rimmed holographic lines to accent the straight edge of the cutout (scalloped ovals) the papers are SU Smoky Slate, Basic Gray and Rich Razzleberry. The mat is embossed with Embossibilities Bricks, and finished with Versamark watermark on the bricks. Fun techniques to play with. The colors of the little "cheerleader" are the school colors of my DGD's high school.

Fight---by Paper Nest Dolls
I just love this Paper Nest Dolls graphic called "Fight" and enjoyed coloring her with my prismacolor pencils. Then I took a picture, and extracted the graphic to put on a recipe card for a Pink Punch. We have several Pink Parties a year in my Cancer Support group, and I wanted her on the recipe card for Pink Moscato Punch! The paper and butterflies are from my stash originally found at Fred She Said Store.
After the Recipe Card for Pink Punch, I made a card for a friend who has a new breast cancer diagnosis. The card is stamped in Pretty in Pink ink (Stampset is a clear stamp set but I do not know who manufactured, and finished with stickles, ribbon and a breast cancer ribbon pin.

Twilight
Kit and Clowder's Pencils Create and Learn for August is this beautiful angel graphic found at Crafts and Me. She is colored according to the directions in the lesson by Alyce Keegan with Prismacolor Pencils. I fussy cut the graphic and set it up on dimensionals away from the background. I experimented with flower soft and glitter for the clouds, and decided against it, as it overpowered the beautiful graphic which is finished with Wink of Stella and some stickles along the margins of her wings. I created a night sky in Photoshop, added cloud photos, and using lens flares and star brushes, finished a background for her to be sitting on a cloud. I worked the graphic in 5x7inches and will finish it with the appropriate sentiment for the recipient (Thinking of you, You are the Light of my Life, Hope for Tomorrow, Light etc). LOVE IT!!! Thank you Alyce for the outstanding lesson.
And here she is framed

Ice Cream Sundae Sprite
I used papers from Michelle R Designs (Sophie's Rose) to accent the watercolor graphic by Aurora Wings, (Mitzi Sato-Wiuff) Called Ice Cream Sunday. It is from her Sprite collection. The double die cut follows the Splitcoast Stamper Tutorial by Diana Kowal for Double Matted Frames. The black embossed sentiment is a Gina K Stamp from her collection Flowers and Frame Stamp TV Kit I colored this time all in watercolor on a laser printed graphic, using Tim Holtz Distress ink Pens, and several different brands of watercolor pencils. The result is much softer than the brilliance of the full prismacolor pencils. Wink of stella touches all the whipped cream and the sundae glass. What fun this card was to do. The dies I used are Spellbinders (S4-306) Wonky Rectangles.
Before I turn this into a card, I did a second Ice Cream Sunday project. This one used Chameleon Pens, Prisma pencils (skin), Distress Markers, Wink of Stella, Snow Writer for the whipped cream.
I am delighted how this multi-media effort came out and had fun with the Chameleons for the first time.
