This twisted easel card was created exclusively for Joan's Touch Challenge #16. The card is a 5x5 easel stopped with pearls. The stamp I used is from the Just Rite Collection (CL-004530) "Irises" Vintage Labels Four, with coordinating dies. Just Rite Custom Dies, Vintage Labels 4 (JB-04300). The stamp is colored with colored pencils and blended with Gamsol. Each quatrefoil intersection is met with a very tiny pearl on the stamp. The yellow mat is embossed with a Cuttlebug diamond EF (I didn't have a quatrefoil EF which would have matched the stamp's background a little better. The white, DP paisley paper (from a Color Bok pad) and blue base cardstock are sewing machine stitched with blue thread. I haven't placed (or decided on the inside sentiment yet)
This card was just so much fun to make....and not a really quick one --only because I had a major jam in my sewing machine motor (improperly threaded) and so I stopped and cleaned and serviced the machine! LOL. Thank you Joan for continually helping me build my skills.
The dies and stamps, the inks and pencils, gamsol and pearls can all be purchased at Joan's Gardens.
Priss, this is beautiful. Your coloring is great and I love the stitching on the card. It adds so much. Great job and I am so glad you enjoyed making this and learning something new.
ReplyDeleteThanks again for joining us at Joan's Touch for this challenge.

Simply BEAUTIFUL Priss! LOVE the stitching! I have a brand new sewing machine sitting here for a month (or more) ... thanks for inspiration! Now I want to take the cover off and figure out how to thread it so I can stitch on my cards too. Great job!
