This week the challenge is:
Use a Wedding Theme
Use some kind of flourish
Pearls or Rhinestones for embellishments
Use only Black and White
This top-fold card is made using Cheery Lynn French Lattice Small frame (available at At Joan's Gardens) over black and white patterned paper. The digital stamp with the Japanese Kanji symbol for "Love" is from Floppy Latte Designs surrounded by a Just Right circular stamp "On This Day I will Marry." Roses and netting complete the card.
For thiswedding card I used Spellbinders Labels 20, and created a top-fold shape-card (the photo of the card was taken over white paper, but this card is not on a white cardbase.) The base paper has a floral and silver print black on white, Cheery Lynn Designs Lace Corners A (B161) have rhinestones in the matching flower centers near the paper rose, bordered with delicate white feathers. I used a Clear Star jelly roll pen to embellish the edges of the die cuts and the flower. The black ribbon edge stitched in white satin thread has a center row of rhinestones. And the black layer is embossed with Tim Holtz Alterations "texture fades" (Retro Cirque Set). The inside holds the sentiment attributed to the Apaches, a Wedding Blessing, with a greeting to a special young couple, to be married this month. The metal hearts are by Wilton (party favors in bridal at Walmart).
~Apache Wedding Blessing~
Now you will feel no rainFor each of you will be shelter to the other.
Now each of you will feel no cold
For each of you will be warmth to the other.
Now there is no loneliness for you
For each of you will be companion to the other.
Now you are two persons
But there is one life before you.
Go now to your dwelling place to enter into the days of your togetherness
And may your days be good and long upon the earth.
What a great idea from Wilton on the wedding bands. Love the unique shape and again, the wedding bands make this card a wonderful keepsake card for a couple.
