Birthday Poppies

The Challenge at Joan's Gardens this week is a green, white and purple card, with purple flowers added, on a leaves background and using a sentiment.
The background white cardstock is embossed with Sizzix 657139 which is a scattering of holly leaves. I used two colors of green cardstock and cut leaves using the Marianne Creatables LR0156 die and then superimposed those cut-work leaves over the holly detail. Those I then brushed with two colors of chalk by Pebbles.  I used  Elizabeth craft designs black poppy peel off design, stuck to shimmer purple cardstock by  Tim Holtz.  I created leaves for the poppies using Cheery Lynn Borders Die, Build a Flower 1 (B181). These are edged with the black Glaze pen by Sakura, so they mimic the black sticker outline of the Elizabeth Crafts sticker  The sentiment is a SU stamp edged in a silver holographic line, and placed on the smallest of Romantic Rectangles die by Spellbinders S5-090.  Feathers tucked into the design, a pearl and little bees finish this Birthday card.  I wasn't sure where this card was going when I started,---but this is how it ended.
It really is a lttle wild, and  I  thinnk the idea of lightly chalked cutout leaves would be pretty if they wree white.  Almost all of the products I used came from at Joan's Gardens.
