The Birches for Autumn and Winter
This "Autumn Run" card was created with a background created in photoshop and printed on glossy photo paper. The Birch trees are edged in walnut stain distress ink and are cut from the Tim Holtz Die, Birch Trees. The two deer are from the tiny Jumping Deer Trio die by Memory Box. The tiny leaves are a maple leaf punch that is about 1/4inch.
The Tim Holtz Birch die is used below over a winter scene background from a photograph. The little cardinals are from SU "Thougtful Trees". The cardstock is SU real red and the ribbon is grosgrain. The trees are burnished with distress ink. The Season's Greetings Sentiment is a sticker from Pop Ups Etc.

Owl Card
This Shape card was created with Spellbinder's Fold-a-Long Owl Label. (661138) The background is craft cardstock, and the DP is by SU. Eyes and beak accents are glitter paper. Pearl accents and Silver Wink of Stella are on the wings. This Die requires careful paper choice, because the "reverse" or opposite right and left pieces are not available in the die, so you must flip cardstock to get the reverse shape. This does not work well on plain cardstock because of the subtle differences beside front and back, and is only marginally successful with DP. Options are NOT to face/cover the front folds of the owl at all, and use stamped designs if you wish. It's a fun card to make but disappointing that a critical die is not included in the six die set. I will use one of my Friendship stamps olr a personal note on the inside

(Shuttle Art) The artpiece is matted on green embossed paper on daffodil delight (SU) paper. She's for the Anything Goes Challenge #53 at Aurora Wings this month.
The inside of the card reads:
Oh Dandelion, yellow as gold
What do you do all day?
"I just wait here in the tall green grass
Till the Children come out to play."
Oh dandelion, yellow as gold
What do you do all night?
"I wait and wait till the cold dews fall
And my hair grows long and white."
And what do you do when you hair is white
And the children come out to play?
"They take me up in their dimpled hands.
And blow my hair away."
And blow my hair away."
When we lived in Washington state all summer long we fought and fought dandelions! And so did all of the neighbors. They appeared overnight and seemed to seed before we could get them "rounded up!" I will send this card to my friend who still lives next door to where we were, because she's got a field of yellow right now again!
