Fun Folds---A Book Card

Inspired by Sandi MacIver in her subscriber area at Stampin and Blogging, this fun Book-Opening card uses Stampin Up, By the  Tide stamps, Spellbinders Labels 18 (S4-310), Stickers from the newly renovated Pop-Up's Etc Store, SU's basic black chevron ribbon and paper, with the top black mat embossed with Su's Chevron's EF.   The inks are Memento and Crumb cake and the papers are SU Very Vanilla and Crumb Cake.

These "book card" fun folds are so much fun to make.  Here is a Happy  Summer (School's Out) card done with Island Indigo, DP from SU, and Naturals Ivory paper following Sandi MacIver's tutorial in her subscriber area at Stamping and Blogging.  The stamp sentiment on the inside is from the  is from Maya set,  CL559 (impression Obsession) It reads:  Life is Pure adventure and the sooner we realize that, the quicker we will be able to treat life as art."  Maya
Angelou.  The graphics came from Dies to Die for (Alota Stamps).

Delicious Doodles_Teri Sherman

This is the artwork of Teri Sherman in her Etsy store--Beautiful Blossoms  She's colored in Prismacolor pencils and touched with wink of stella, Stickles, liquid pearls (marigold) and some gold cord.  The paper is Island Indigo and Cherry Cobbler by SU on the A2 top-fold card.

See Fairy Fae by the same artist.  Both of these cards are something extra!

Aurora Wings_Sisterhood

This art work by Mitzi Wiuff is just so much fun to color in Prismacolor pencils! The possibilities are just endless with this particular drawing.  This card is created with Core-di-nations green paper (Ranger) roughed and sanded edge,  SU Rich Razzleberry, and ivory deckel-edged 5x7 textured cardstock.
The sentiment:  "Hope is the thing with feathers that perches in the soul--And sings the tune without words, And never stops--at all--" is by Emily Dickenson (circe 1861) cut with Just Right Vintage Labels 4 (JB04300).  The graphic's edge is pierced with Pierced Squares (SCD-012) rectangle die. The little "matching" flowers and petals centered with an amber rhinestone are from a Mc Gill punch, with white pencil and Wink of Stella applied.

Garden Flowers Thinking of you --

This card was inspired by Gina K in her Garden Flowers Thank you card video   I used flowers and leaves from her Frames and Flowers Stampsets, a Just Rite Grand Sentiments  for Thinking of you, Tangelo Twist (SU) and Sky Blue (Color Box) and Fresh Greens (Kaleidacolor) inks.  Wink of Stella Clear,  pearls holographic orange hearts, and rhinestones finish this pretty background-idea card. Quick and easy and fun.

Aurora Wings--Mitzi Sato Wiuff Mermaid

This mermaid snuggled into the kelp is a page from Mitzi Sato Wiuff's Gardens and Goddesses Coloring book.  I have worked this image in my new Chameleon pens (skin, mermaid body and tail), the rest is Prismacolor Pencils.  The  vibrance of the Chameleons and their gradient blends are just beautiful.  My favorite do-it right site for this new medium is a video at Scrapbooking Made  Simple  This has helped me make smoother gradients and plan the timing of the release of color in the Chameleons more predictably.

And FINISHED Spellbinders( S5-030 Fancy Tags 3) die, Island Indigo and Black SU paper. Quotation  is from Ann Morrow Lindberg and reads:
The sea does not reward those who are too anxious, too greedy, or too impatient
One should lie empty, open, choiceless as a beach—waiting for a gift from the sea.

Yam Puff Mermaid and Dolphin

This coloring is truly MULTI MEDIA work as I tested and experimented with various media, some new to me (Chameleons).  I used watercolor pencils by Saedtler and Fantasia for the watercolored background.  I used crayola crayons blended with Gamsol for her tail.  I used Prismacolor pencils for her hair, the fishes and detail.  I used Copic markers for her skin and I used  Chameleon Pens for the pink bubbles and the dolphin.  Pearls and bubble edging and the fishes scales are  Stickles clear diamond, and the stars are done with gold Glaze pen by Sakur and Clear Wink of Stella here and there.  This is done on Canson Mi-Teintes paper, and I was surprised how well it took the Chameleons, the gamsol and the water .

Finished card involved the following products.  stickers: Pop Ups Etc (I used the insides of sticker word's letters and little gold stars. 3D Crystal Lacquer (Sakura), Organza ribbon, shells from stash, punch (fir) Martha  Stewart, pearls, rhinestones, Dotted swiss Embossabilities Embossing folder and Craftwell E-Bosser, Gellyroll Clear Star pen, Wink of Stella, Perforator (SU) and Night of Navy paper for the card base.

First Chameleons

This is the first try ever with Chameleon Markers.   WOAH!  Now how much fun can someone have with Gina K.'s pretty stamps embossed in shiny black and the matching dies in her Flowers and Frames kit for May.  The tiny butterfly is a Martha Stewart punch, the Sentiment is Just Rite's Grand Sentiments and is stamped on Acrylic, punched with a tag punch.  The black beading around the honeycomb paper and honeycomb embossing is a sticker from Pop Ups Etc.  Lots of dimension a burst of color, Cardstock is SU's Tangelo Twist, and I used the Orange and the Yellow Chameleon pens. And the card is reflected in the new-to-me pen's plastic carrying case.  Just a WONDERFUL training site for this new medium can be found at Scrapbooking Made Simple  on UTube

Shirts and Ties for Father's Day

The creation of this adorable shirt and tie card was inspired by Dawn Griffith in her UTube Video.  I used Stampin UP designer paper, Tim Holtz Distress inks and stamps from the SU stampsets Hello Life and Teeny Tiny  Wishes, and SU neutral Candy  Dots.

I will run a row of buttons down the middle of the shirt inside to finish this (but the buttons are lost right now!)

ChowChing_The Iris Mermaid

Ching Chow Kuik's  graphics, and particularly her faces, are SO amazing.  I really enjoyed Prismapencil coloring and decorating this Iris Mermaid.  The Kit and Clowder monthly theme for May is Mermaids, so the Purple Iris Mermaid won't be the only one I post. She is foam mounted on shimmery turquoise paper, and a royal blue paper, edged with Cuttlebug's bubbles embossing folder. Rhinestones, bits of linen thread, pearls and Gelly Roll Clear Star pen accent the mermaid.  In the corner is a chunk of my glitter/powder picker-upper because it is treated gauze that has some glitter stuck in it.  The "coral" is Martha Stewart punch (fir) , and the teeny seashells are from my embellie stash.  The medallion was created by my friend Tracy Wray.  The inside sentiment (printed in photoshop) reads:
"Be the mermaid, Be elusive and mysterious; Be independent, Be Free, Be Modest and search for the Treasures life has to offer."

Sympathy

This card's design was inspired by Gina K. on Stamp TV's presentation of Embossed Roses.   I have used stamps, dies and papers from her beautiful Flowers and Frames kit offered in May.   The embossing folder I used was a Cuttlebug EF, and the EP was SU's gold.

Cardstock is cut 3 1/2 x 5, printed, detail scored in sentiment area and embossed, adhered to 4 x 5 1/4 black.  One rectangle is 3 x 3 1/4 (could be a little narrower) matted on black, and the other artpiece is 1 3/4 " square.  The rose is the smallest of the rose outlines in the set embossed on off white (vanilla) paper, this may be lightly sponged for a little more dimension.  Ink is SU Old Olive for the leaves.

Hope--

I absolutely adore the beautiful faces of the graphic artist at The Paper Shelter.  This one is called "Hope" and she's worked in purples and pinks.  Mounted and inset into a frame created out of Blackberry Bliss (SU paper) on pink cardstock, she's inset into the Elegant Gold Majesty Circles by Spellbinders S4-409.  Gellyroll Gold accents the star, bubbles dove and ribbons. She's colored with Prismacolor pencils.

Happy Birthday Padge

This beautiful landscape lighthouse is for our dear friend's birthday today.  It is colored in prismacolor pencil.  Happy Birthday, Padge, ---and MANY MANY MORE.

Gina K Thank you

The pretty stamps and coordinating dies are wonderful in the new Stamp TV kit by Gina K  They are easier than most to line up especially if you use MISTI to do it.    Thank you frame and sentiment are shiny embossed; the roses are detailed with Glaze pen, Wink of Stella clear, and marker. Inks are SU Rich Razzleberry and Blackberry Bliss.  Matte is Smoky Slate and Blackberry Bliss by SU.  Should emboss the darkest color stamp for each of the roses, it would give the flowers more depth (Next time!)

Poppies for Remembrance

Prismacolor pencils were used to finish these pretty "waxed"  Poppies drawn by Zoe at Make it Crafty,   This is a sweet and simple "all occasion" black card with the poppy stamp on Cherry Cobbler paper (SU) and framed with Dazzles stickers from a black (halloween) sticker set. Thinking of you gold sentiment is a Starform sticker from  Pop-Ups Etc.

Fun Folds

This fun fold-window card is inspired by Sandi MacIver at Stamping and Blogging in her May, 2015 fun fold card examples Member area.  For this card I used papers and oval dies, washi tape and the inside sentiment all by SU.  The inside sentiment is from SU's Delightful Dozen.  The front of the card is embossed with SU  EF (#132187)  The medallion rose is by Gina K. in her new Flowers and Frames set, and the leaves are stamps by  Alte New in the Vintage Flowers set.   the tiny butterfly is from a Prima Clear stamp set by Jodi Lee. Once again---just LOVE my MISTI---for perfect stamp placement every time! . Thank you Sandi for such a fun, easy and quick project.

Alte New Vintage Flowers

This birthday card was so  much fun to do.  The multi-layer stamping in the BEAUTIFUL Alte New Vintage Flower Stamps was made SO easy with my new MISTI. (LOVE this product, and absolutely recommend you purchase the acrylic cleaner and the magnets when you buy it!--you'll need them) This precision placement for the stamps with the MISTI helped make these first flowers with this intricate and detailed stampset fun and pretty.  The card's matting is diecut using Lil Inkers Stitched Rectangles  These mats give just the right detail to the artpiece and the Rich Razzleberry (SU) frames.  Happy  Birthday sentiment is from SU  Teeny  Tiny Wishes stampset.  You cvan just see the hot-pink rulers of the MISTI behind the card in my workspace.

Below is the detail of some of the multilayer stamping,

Using the Misti

This was my first go at using the handy tool for perfect position stamping the MISTI  It was  SO easy to get multi-stamp layers to position exactly as I wanted them to with this new aid-to-crafting. HIGHLY recommend getting the very strong magnets if you are going to buy this board.  They secure your cardbase so it doesn't move at all during the process of multi-stamping--or multi-inking.  I used SU's Lotus with Tangelo Twist and Yo Yo Yellow inks, Wink-of Stella gold, gold metallic gel writter and a bit of organza ribbon to finish this card.  The you are Amazinginly Amazing stamp is from SU Painted Petals1 stampset.

And this was a very quick photo card that I made to send with a note and donation to the IMG Sherpa Fund in Nepal.    I was so touched by the assistance a friend of ours who was on an Everest expedition when the earthquake occurred (and his team) could give to the Sherpa villagers who had such awful damage to their schools and homes. SO I made this card to enclose with my check and note, and I loved how it came out.

The Frame is from Snickerdoodle Designs by Karen's Leather Frames assortment, the background paper from her Rocky Mountain Dreams kit, and the beautiful photo is called the The Gift and was taken by NPN (?) --(captured from the Internet)

Fairy Tangles__Autumns Dream by Norma Burnell

Norma Burnell's art work is inspired by fantasy and Zentangle  This drawing is Autumn's Dream, but I didn't color her in Autumn colors.  It was tremendously fun to plan and follow the inspiration of this amazing artist, and I am so pleased with how my prismacolor pencils created a beautiful medium to work with for this image. I thank Alyce for the terrific basic pencil class she offers at Kit and Clowder,  Each design is more pleasing to me as I grow these skills.

Happy Mother's Day
