3D Star Ornament

This pretty (and easy and quick)  Star Ornament (or package topper!!!) follows at tutorial at  Splitcoast Stampers for the Wednesday Technique workshop taught by Wendy Klein. I was dismayed to find that one of my stars in the SU Star Dieset has gone missing, so the graduated pattern of the stars isn't exactly to my liking.  The topmost red and gold foil star is a McGill Star punched embellishment.  LOVE IT!

Soft Snowfall

This tri-fold card uses the exquisite  Simon Says Soft Snowfall die, (exclusively at Simon Says Stamps #304) Judiken embossable acrylic, and  Tim Holtz distress inks in Chipped Sapphire, Blueprint sketch, seedless preserves, and several blends of the yellows and soft gray distress inks. The sentiment on the inside is from  SU Bright and Beautiful, and the Peace sentiment is from Inkadinkadoo  Christmas stampset. Colors are bright white embossing powder (SU) Night of Navy.  This card was inspired by Jennifeer McGuire's beautiful Tri  Fold Card work found in her UTube tutorial.  Now my Christmas cards are finished, with memories of hundreds of new techniques, and hours of fun for this Holiday.

At Christmas time, dear friends,
It's an easy thing to do!
Wishing all the nicest things
For every one of you.
And at this extra-joyous time,
we'd like to add one thing.,
May you have all the happiness and joy
That twenty sixteen can bring.

Recovering?

All best wishes for a speedy one, Chip.
The adorable little bee is the Bee Sprite by Aurora  Wings.  Thank you Mitzi for another precious sprite to play with!

Watercolor Ornament Card

This is my first try as I  following the watercoloring techniques described in  Dina Kowal's tutorial  at Splitcoast Stampers.  It was fun and challenging as I tried Lyra Aqua Crayons, Tim Holtz Distress inks, red, green and white Wink of Stella and some border and sentiment stickers.  I used the small poinsettia stamp from Just Rite Festive Poinsettia stampset on the ornament.

Art by Miran

Here are a couple of cuties drawn by Miran and available in her Art by Miran Esty Shoppe.  This top on is the Snowflake Princess.  She's colored in Prismacolor pencils, and accented with Wink of Stella, pearls, and four kinds of Stickles.  The sentiment is from the stampset "Snowflakes" from Hot Off the Press. The ink is SU Island Indigo and clear heat embossed then fussy cut.  This is incredibly sparkly, much more than any web-detail photo can share.

Digigirl 1252  Suzi Snowflakes is also a Prismacolor artpiece mounted on Night of Navy and Smoky Gray cardstock.  Accented with 3d crystal glaze, and stickles, Dazzling  Snow Writer (Deco Arts) and Posca Pen white paint.  The fonts are Almonte  Snow and Arno pro that creates the wordart: "Take time to chase the snowflakes." (Photoshop CC)

The trees are a rubber stamp by Tim Holtz stamped in Black Stazon. (Reindeer Flight CMS 052) Other elements are punched stars, gold thread bows, silver loops, snowflakes, etc. She and her design team share Total Techniques on her blog bringing so many ideas to cardmaking.  Thanks  Sandi.

Peek - A Boos

These cards were inspired by a tutorial taught by  Sandi McIver She called them Peek  A Boo cards.  They are fun to make and turn out SO cute.,  The top one is die cut with ovals from the Lil Inkers Stitched Mats. The artpiece puppy with a candy cane is by  Art by Miran, and is pencilled in Prismacolor Pencils. The North Pole Pole with the tag that says Santa PLEASE stop here was a gift designed by my friend Tracy Wray.
The polka dotted paper is by SU from Season of Style and uses SU green papers for matting
Also from Season of Style these trees have been dipped in Versamark and then heat set with clear embossing powder. This could have been done as effectively with 3d Crystal Glaze, but it was fun to heatset the clear EP making these trees come away from the matching paper under them. They've  been edged with line stickers from Pop Ups Etc, and the trees stand away glistening and still matching the designer paper below.  Another one using this  SU tree punch is HERE

Puppies and Candy Canes

This unusual "decorative corner card" was inspired by a tutorial and video on Split Coast Stampers by Dina Kowal and Laura Lipe.   The papers were designed by UK designer Poppy Moon called Blue Christmas (a collection of papers)  They are found in her Esty store.  The Candy Canes were designed by Snickerdoodle Designs by Karen in her kit "All Wrapped Up"   The puppy was drawn by Miran and was colored with Prismacolor Pencils.  The dies I used were Spellbinders basic Circles, Lifestyle Crafts scalloped circles and Spellbinders Holiday (S6-040). The stamp is a SU stamp from the Christmas Messages stampset.

Memory Box Ornaments Cards

These cards were all created with various Ornament (large ornament) dies from Memory Box.
The basic design was inspired by some cards created by Sandi MacIver for her blog hop.  She called them Embellished Ornaments

This is Larue, (Memory Box 98377) touched with silver Wink of Stella and Cherry  Cobbler and Mossy Meadow (SU) DP and cardstock,

Above is Memory Box Colette, (98379) with foiled red and gold paper from my stash, and mounted on Real Red and Mossy Meadow cardstock by SU.  The ornament is diecut from star holographic paper, window cut through to the Real Red cardstock below.

And this one, my favorite, is Memory Box Ornament Emma, (98411) mounted on white shimmer paper (SU), and diecut from gold star holographic foil.   These can be very tricky to adhere, and for them, I found that "stick it" was the very best for the extremely intricate dies.  Two of them, however are adhered with Multi-Medium Matte glue.  Emma is brought off the background with play foam adhered to the back of the ornament and then to the card base.  All Merry Christmas stickers are from Pop-ups Etc.

Happy Hallowee'n Over and Over

This cute little witch graphic was drawn by Hannah Lynn and named "Pricilla"  SO!  I couldn't resist putting her against the vibrant sunset sky photo taken by a friend of mine in Sequim, WA in August.  The  witch is entirely colored in Photoshop, and the font is Halloween Spider.

HAPPY HALLOWEE'N

This little witch below is by Art by Miran.  She's called Trick or Treat Witch  She's done entirely in Prismacolor Pencils, with a tag designed by  Tracy Wray. Mounted on black and Tangelo Twist papers by SU

Mounted on SU papers. Sentiment in Photoshop. Since we'll have been in Tahiti on  Christmas Eve,  I thought a little Mermaid would be a fun card to send.

SU Small Jump on Holiday Cards

I was working with SU vellum today and got quite a few cards made, one bunch using the Jingle All the Way Dies, and the other the Star  Framelits by SU.  PLUS the Winter Wonderland Vellum, and older vellums I had for projects like these were really fun for a change.  Love the effects of heat embossing beautiful Christmas sentiments, and while I have a LOT of different company's embossing powder, I got the best results today with SU's.  Holographic glitter and gold tickers on the Jingle all the way diecut cards and the holographic border are from PopUps Etc

Young Witch Aurora Wings

This card was created for the Aurora  Wings Challenge for Halloween.    I chose the pretty Young  Witch to celebrate. The matting is Core-di-nations sanded textured core paper, and two designs created by Michelle Roos in her card-crafting kit called Halloween. The border is a gorgeous etched gold satin ribbon from my stash (and I think from Ribbons N Things).  She's colored with Prismacolor pencils on Neenah white paper and fussy cut for mounting and stacking up on this 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 inch card.   It is created for a small child, so isn't a scary witch or goblin.   The inside sentiment reads:

On Halloween the thing you must do Is pretend that nothing can frighten you.  And if somethin' scares you and you want to run, Just let on like it's Hallowee'n fun

My other coloring for this image is here:

Harvest Elf_Aurora Wings

This gorgeous autumn graphic is from Aurora Wing's fantasy collection.   She is colored with Prismacolor Pencils and finished with Wink of Stella.  The matting is SU blackberry bliss paper, and the edge detail is from the S4-525 Spellbinders Decorative Curved Square dieset.

The second time I colored the Harvest Elf, I framed the final piece in a rich-grained wooden frame for my coffee table.  She is  So sweet, and I am very pleased with the pencilling and the detail of this gorgeous image.
