These beautiful peonies were drawn by Mitzi Sato Wiuff and you can find them in her Aurora Wings Store. I printed the image on vellum and used dry pencilling technique (Prismacolor Pencils) on the blossoms and leaves. Then I mounted the vellum which I fussy cut onto a clear acetate window cut into a A2 top fold card. I lined the card inside with diamond glitter paper by SU. The sentiment will either be printed on vellum and overlaid inside, OR I will use a (silver) sentiment sticker on the clear acetate on top. This is absolutely beautiful, but the dazzing diamond glitter paper is glimmery white, not creme as the bottom photo shows. Lavender Rhinestones finish the elegant card. It is created for the "My Favorite Color Challenge (#32) at Aurora Wings .
The traditional floral symbol of China, the state flower of Indiana, and the 12th Wedding Anniversary flower, peonies are the flower of riches and honor. With their lush, full, rounded bloom, peonies embody romance and prosperity and are regarded as an omen of good fortune and a happy marriage.
