Gift Card Holders

My friend, Kathy,  and I made these gift-card holders following the instruction on page 37 of the November Papers and Pixels Magazine, a tutorial by Christi  Butzen. Christi's Blog is HERE. The holder at the right with the elf, is one of several I made using Karen Schulz "Holiday Hoopla" and "Mrs. Claus" kits.

At Joan's Gardens TAGS

The tag on this card is made with Sizzix Decorative Label Set #4  #656537, and burnished with Evergreen Bough Distress ink by Tim Holz.  These are available from Joan's Store.  The Gift Card Holder project was presented by Christi Buntzen on page 37 of the November issue of Papers and Pixels Magazine. My grandson is an all-star baseballer in his High School, and what he wanted most for Christmas was a giftcard from a sporting goods store.  The embellishments are by EK company and the papers are by Recollections (Michaels).

I love how this ivory on ivory card came out.  I used Snow flurries embossing folder, and gold and glitter paper, gold transparent stickers,  ivory ribbon and an acrylic bubble window card (by  Romax) for this one.

This scored, and ribbon accented card supports built up alcohol inked paper and silver foiled stickers.  I am going to spritz this card with glimmer mist.

The Snowflurry embossing folder, green foil and sticker accents on this card are paired with a punched border backed in matching foil.

This card uses score lines and gold foil chain and edging, along with gold foil and green foil built-up ornaments.  The card will be complete when the sentiment is adhered, but they didn't come in the mail yet.

Giftcard Holders

Today I made a few Gift Card Holders for those easy-to-get "presents."  This Project was suggested by Christy Butzen, contributor to the November Papers and Pixels Magazine on page 37 where she details how to make these gift card holders.  When they are finished, they fit perfectly into the A2 envelope, and are ready for mailing in about 30 minutes total!

This pretty and elegant card was very simple and very quick to make.  It's a "half-emboss" side embossing of  Sizzix "Northern Flurry" embossing folder, scored with score-pal, and the score line then filled with silver border snowflakes. stickers.

This one is done with the same snowflake folder, and topped with an ornament sticker that's over green foil. The border is cut with an EK border punch and backed with green foil.

This one uses the same embossing folder, and another snowflake sticker that is finished with platinum liquid pearls and platinum Stickles glitter inside the snowflake.  Each of the sticker-detail cards is quite different from the others, but they are all really stunning and were easy and a LOT of fun to do.

The card below is another sticker adventure.  This time I used HALF of a very large ornament sticker, scored the lines, added strip bling stickers to the lines. Then I picked up some of the discarded triangles to accent the strip

I am waiting for the mailman to bring me more gold Christmas Sentiments from PopUps Etc, because I ran out of gold--before I ran out of cards to make for friends and family (and JOAN!)

Today I have been working with stickers and other media and created half a dozen cards, but this one was my very favorite.  This card is created with the stackable ornament stickers that I got at outline-stickers.com  (Also the Merry  Christmas Sentiment came from them.  The stickers are mounted on alcohol inked photo paper that I created that uses Ranger Alcohol inks with the floating resists in gold and silver, available at Joan's Gardens They are cut out, stacked up, and this ornament then placed on a cardfront scored at the 1/4 inch mark with my Scor-Pal also available through Joan's Gardens and at Scor-Pal.com
