At Joan's Gardens Week #23 Challenge
Create a Oldies but Goodies kind of card.
Use Blue on your card
Use some kind of corner embellishment
Make your card for a friend
Lace and pearls, and fabric flowers make this special gate-card
"vintage", These are placed over paper (inside) that is like calico
fabrics found in the '40s. A Paper flower with corduroy center is
commercial by C&K. Border treatment on the gate is an EK Flourish
punch. The leaves are Sizzlits "Little Leaves." Aquamarine blue paper
is by Colorbok and so is the inside vintage print. The inside of the
card sentiment reads "May you always have Walls for the Wind, a Roof
for the Rain, Tea beside the Fire, Laughter to Cheer you, Those you love
near you, and all that your heart may desire." the card is created for a friend who just suffered a loss.

Make your card for a friend
This Gate-fold card is made with Ribbons and punched trimmed fleur-di-lis, Butterflies are Cheery Lynn Die, and the Friendship greeting is by Paulette at TLCreations.
Friendships
This card was made from The Sweetest Gift collection (Friendship), by Paulette (Create with TLC) with her "Reading Rendezvous" graphic. It is finished with pencils, blended with Gamsol. The corners are created from Sizzix, #656537 (Decorative Label Set #4). Sizzix Dies are available at Joan's Gardens Store. Those diecut labels were halved, clipped and then traced with pencil to create corner mounts. The oval blue rhinestones are "petals" are from a stick on rhinestone set's flower. Best Wishes greeting is an outline sticker from popuptemplates.

This adorable vintage graphic was created by Grands9Creations, recolored and diecut with Spellbinders Labels #15. These and other Spellbinder's dies are available At Joan's Gardens. Inside sentiment is the Irish swinging "song." My mother used to say this one when she would swing me as a little girl. I made this for my childhood friend.
far across the land I see
Swinging high, swinging low
Seeing just how far I go
Swinging low swinging high
I can almost reach the sky.

At Joan's Gardens Challenge Week #23
The challenge this week is;
Create a Oldies but Goodies kind of card.
Use Blue on your card
Use some kind of corner embellishment
Make your card for a friend
For this challenge I chose a digital floral frame designed by Jessica at Floppy Latte Designs. The vintage style frame is colored with pencils. The frame is cut with the Spellbinders Labels 20 die, and then that is matted with a "Top Note" die cut inked blue mat. Patterned blue paper is below that. The corner mounts are cut pieces of the Quinn Flourish by Memory Box, available at At Joan's. Gardens.
The sentiment is written in Jellyka Cutty Cupcakes font and reads "Once in a while a friend comes along and changes everything." The inside says: "That would be YOU! Thank you, (her name,)"

At Joan's Gardens Week # 22 Challenge
Challenge is a card for a child.
This is little Bongo the Patriotic Dog, a Digital Stamp that Wendy Hall created at Louby Lou Designs. The blue cardstock is Core-essentials, Ranger Paper that is embossed with A Sizzix Embossing Folder. The little head of the dog is cut away (a second print), and suspended on a spring so it is a bobble heade card for a little fellow for his first Independence day.

At Joan's Garden Week #22 Challenge
Challenge is to create a child's card. We made this little birthday card at a Papers and Pixels Club Card Making afternoon, with the help of our member Nancy Adams who shared projects with us. This little birthday cupcakes, and cherries card for a child is done with one of Stampin Up's new punches called Build a Cupcake. It is a "z-fold" or "tri-fold" card.
