Graphic 45 Sun Kissed Mini Photo Folio

The new Sun Kissed Graphic 45 papers and ephemera are absolutely wonderful for this tiny photo folio to catch some summer fun this year with a trip to the beach.  This little folio was inspired by Design Wishes beautiful tutorial located on her site.  Some of the Sun Kissed Mini Photo Folio papers, ephemera and other ideas came from Scrap And Create

Outside of folio with belly band in place
Now slide UP the belly band --not to be untied to reveal
places for dozens of photos of a trip to the beach

It opens to a right side double folio
and a magnetic closed folio and journaling card on the left
The open folio with the left magnetic pocket and cards removed

Under the right fold out are two pockets for larger photos
and a template  sized to fit the pockets for the recipient to use
for cutting their photos. Sometimes I just provide a mat

Inside in the middle is a 5 photo waterfall with journaling (stamp )tags
To the right is a place for a large photo and a template for cutting it out.
Under the last one is a corner pocket and a pretty tag pocket with pull out sentiment
from the ephemera kit.

Of course, wink of stella --a little stickles---some enamel dots, and ribbon
finish off this cute Photo Folio

So She'll be Seventy Two---My little Sis

The Sentiment is Simon Says Stamp Painted Happy Birthday die cut from gold glitter paper on black. The paisley flower is from Gina K.  "Art from the Heart" stampset.  This is gold heat embossed on black, backed with white pencil and then colored with Prismacolor Pencils and accented with gold Stickles. Designer paper is from my stash, and I don't remember who designed it. Card is closed with velcro tab.

Flourishing Phrases

Thinlits and stampset by SU inspired this multi-matted card in (stamped off) smoky slate, black and white.  It is finished with clear glitter pen, tonic crystal (clear) nuvo drops and pearls.

Father's Day is Coming

So I used SU  "Wetlands" stampset for this modified window card with the sentiment from Lawn Fawn's Celebrate Scripty Sayings.  A combination of distress and SU inks were used.  Next time I will use a "sandy" grunge stamp for the bottom of the card and finish with sentiment stamp to the left of the Goose.  MANY possibilities for "Wetlands"

Birthday heart trail

Memory Box Heart Sprinkle Trail die provides the matting for this Birthday Card.  The Flower is penciled on craft colored cardstock and white embossed using the Spring Flowers and More Spring Flowers collections from Simon Says Stamps.Tiny gold hearts (Pretty Pink Posh) fill some of the diecuts, and the background has been brushed with Nuvo Glimmer Paste (Moonstone).  Be careful of these pastes they dry out almost immediately no matter the care you take to keep them tightly sealed and closed the minute you've scooped out some paste.  Pearls, Nuvo Drops, tiny jewels and dewdrops finish the Shimmer Mist spritzed artpiece.  That is mounted on matching blue designer paper (stash) and mounted on distressed edged topfold Crumb Cake cardstock.  Love how it came out--made especially for a friend who requested it

Happy HAPPY 77 SJ

Our cousin's frind SJ just had his lucky "7's" birthday and they stopped here overnight on their way from their home in Colorado to California.  So this is the birthday card I made for him using Cuttlebug Birthday  EF, and SU DP.  The paper bow is done with the 123 My Memory Punch Board.

Wise Owl Spinner Card

This Spinner Card was inspired by the tutorial at Splitcoast Stampers Stitched  Suspension Card by Jenni Murmani.  The Owl is a Hero Arts die (DI193), cut from craft cardstock that has tiny gold foiled lines in it.  The designer paper for the cardfront and for the inside of the card was created  by  Karen Schulz of Snickerdoodle Designs by Karen, and recolored to pick up a few brown tones.  The sentiments are created in Photoshop

Inside sentiment:
 Be hoo you are,
 trust in a wise friend,
live off the land,
glide through the dark times and
be observant
Live is a Hoot!

Stitched with monofilament thread

Papers N Pixels---Last meeting until Fall

Oh! WOWZERS!  Papers N Pixels President Clareene and I are so busy getting ready to help our group make cupcakes for our last meeting on May 17th. Yes CUPCAKES!   We are having more fun than any two crafters can imagine making these cute little cupcake treat boxes.  NO two EVER turn out the same but every one is absolutely yelling to be completed to show of itself, no matter HOW labor intensive and compelling they become!  Here's a link to some I've made before just sharing how fun this project is  through the years

My favorite of all time though is the Breast Cancer one I created for my friend Judy A  in 2014 (who is now doing GREAT!)  This one is pinned with pink ribbon pins through the flowers and has a butterfly (of hope) on top.

Here is Clareene's for our upcoming Workshop.  She has burnished the edge of every single flower petal, which gives the flowers a totally different look.  These take at least three hours to make, not incuding punching a hundred (or so) flowers, and inking them.  Isn't that the cutest pedestal she's displaying her cupcake on?

Mine for our Group is made with white diamond glimmer paper, burnished in the centers with pink ink and topped with a butter yellow stamen.  The Cupcake wrapper is an organza and lace, pink threaded embellishment over a pink paper cup base.  (They are all on paper cup bases--just some with accordion fold paper that make them look more like cupcakes.)

Can't get enough of these?   See HERE
