At Joan's Gardens Challenge #37

Sometimes you work hours on something and it just DOESN'T work real well for you  That happened on this card.  I think it is the black vertical 3 lines that I don't like---maybe if they were white it wouldn't conflict so with the squares on this card.  Those glitter paper three lines are mounted over a cardfront that has been stenciled and embossed with Spellbinders Impressibilities Butterfly 12-1002...and I don't like working with that stencil either!!!   On I went with the backmost square which  is silver foil paper, polka dotted with Sizzix Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder. No matter what I tried I got a "mirror" out of that backmost diecut!  The squares are Spellbinder's Lacy Squares  S4-295 (and lacy--they're not!)
The candles are made from the beautiful outline transfers from Pop Ups Etc. (Candles Gold by Elizabeth Craft Designs #0294.)  They are mounted on glitter paper, one the positive, and the other the negative cutouts from the candles.
The flowers are punched from glitter paper using an EK flower punch, they're centered with gold Stickles.  Though it turned out prettier than the photo---it's not the most fav I've ever done for a challenge!
    • Create a card with three narrow strips
    • Use a square
    • Use only black and white
    • Use some polka dots
    • Use flowers
