At Joan's Garden Challenge #38

This week's challenge is to create a card showing your favorite winter passtime (making a snowman, going for a sleighride, going skiing etc)  We are to use black embossing, a frame and something that is dimensional.
So this for this card I used Cuttlebug Winter Wonderland embossing folder for the background, Stampin Up black embossing powder to emboss the snowman (don't know who made the stamp), embellished with an art deco snow writer and a touch of white Flower Soft and red Stickles for his tie.  The snowman is die cut from Romantic Rectangles (Spellbinders) and I used the edge die called brackets by Tim Holtz and Sizzix.  The frame is by Karen Schulz in her digital kit Hay Day, and the button on the frame  is tied in red embroidery floss.  The photo is of DGD playing in the snow.  The part of the card with the photo on it, is just half of the "front" and the snowman is adhered with dimensionals over matching embossed (glimmermisted) red paper.

We had traveled to the mountains of New Mexico for the holidays.  There's no snow where we live--in the deserts of Nevada and California.  So the favorite winter passtime is probably something akin to ATV'ing, or Water Skiing, which we don't do; we don't even have a fireplace!..never need it!

    1. you might want to disable that security thing, it took me 7 tries before I got it right, was going to stop if I did not get it last time around. I got rid of mine at Joan's suggestion, just a thought.
      Wonderful card again.
